AUBURN TO HOST TURFGRASS FIELD DAY APRIL 3
AUBURN, Ala.— Turfgrass producers in Alabama will have an opportunity to observe some of the latest advances in research during Auburn University's Turfgrass Field Day, April 3 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the Auburn University Turfgrass Research Unit.
Participants will tour eight research plots and have the opportunity to attend brief educational presentations on problems affecting turfgrass producers, including mole crickets and sting nematodes. Information on new broadleef weed control materials, Poa annua control strategies, plant growth promotion techniques, and herbicide and fungicide updates will also be provided. Field Day attendees qualify for Alabama pesticide re-certification points, Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) PDI points and Certified Crop Advisor points.
Turfgrass producers and others interested in the event are encouraged to pre-register. The event is $35 and includes lunch. Payments will be accepted during field day registration, which opens at 7:30 a.m.
