2012 SPORTS TURF FIELD DAY HITS HUNTSVILLE MAY 14-15

Sports turf managers interested in expanding their knowledge and networking with industry professionals will have the opportunity during a two-day event in Huntsville May 14-15.
Co-hosted by the Alabama Turfgrass Association and the Tennessee Valley Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA), the 2012 Sports Turf Field Day program features speakers from Auburn University, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Carolina Green Corp., the University of Kentucky and the University of Tennessee. Attendees will learn how to improve their fields, get advice from industry experts, learn time- and cost-saving techniques, and network with other sports turf managers.
Monday’s field day will begin at 3 p.m. at the Joe Davis Stadium, home of the Huntsville Stars, and conclude with the end of the Huntsville Stars/Mississippi Braves baseball game. Tuesday’s events, held at the University of Alabama-Huntsville Sports Complex, kick off with a trade show at 8 a.m., followed by field rotations from 9 a.m.-noon, a networking lunch from 12-1 p.m., and conclude with equipment demonstrations from 1-4 p.m.
Early registration is encouraged, but attendees will be allowed to pay at the door. Registration is $40 and includes six hours of educational sessions, two meals, refreshments, a trade show and equipment demonstrations, plus admission to the Huntsville Stars baseball game.
