Judge Roy Moore recently spoke with farmers during the Alabama Farmers Federation's 40th annual Commodity Producers Conference in Mobile.
MONTGOMERY, Ala., Aug. 7 — The political action committee of the Alabama Farmers Federation, FarmPAC, has endorsed Republican Judge Roy Moore for chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.

FarmPAC previously made endorsements for other statewide and Congressional races on the Nov. 6 general election ballot. Endorsements are recommended by FarmPAC Advisory Trustees representing Federation members in all 67 Alabama counties and are confirmed by the FarmPAC Executive Committee.

Alabama Farmers Federation President Jerry Newby said Moore’s rural background, judicial experience and firm values make him a strong candidate for chief justice.

“Judge Moore grew up on a farm and understands hard work. He served our nation honorably as an officer in the U.S. Army and has experience in all phases of the judicial system from defense attorney and prosecutor to circuit judge and chief justice,” Newby said. “Judge Moore has proven he is a man of principle who will stand up for what’s right even in the face of harsh opposition.”
