GREEN INDUSTRY BUSINESS ACADEMY KICKS OFF JAN. 29
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) is sponsoring a free four-part series for greenhouse, nursery and landscape operators. The series — Green Industry Business Academy: Building Your Foundation For Success — kicks off Jan. 29 at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
During the first session, participants will learn how to establish business plans and create budgets. They will also explore company structures, exit plans and estate planning, payroll solutions and current trends, and discuss developments with the e-verify program. Session 1 is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., and breakfast and lunch are provided.
Session 2, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. March 20, will cover types of insurance; safety planning, training and analysis; and Department of Transportation compliance. Additional details on sessions 2, 3 and 4 will be released at a later date.
