NORTH ALABAMA FARMERS INVITED TO ATTEND CROP PRODUCTION MEETINGS FEB. 11-12
Farmers interested in improving their 2013 planting and harvest seasons are invited to three crop production meetings next week. The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is sponsoring the meetings.
Scheduled for Feb. 11 and Feb. 12, the meetings will be a panel discussion format and cover three topics: wheat production, double-cropping soybeans in north Alabama, and resistant weeds and new technology update. Speakers include Dr. Kathy Flanders, Dr. Austin Hagen and Charles Burmester (wheat production); Dr. Dennis Delaney and Dr. Tim Reed (double-cropping); and Charles Burmester, Dr. Vint Hicks, Kerry Saylors and Mackie Sides (resistant weeds).
Meeting dates and details are listed below.

Feb. 11 — Lauderdale County Extension Office, Florence; 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Feb. 11 — Lawrence County Extension Office, Moulton; 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Supper will be provided.

Feb. 12 — Tennessee Valley Research and Extension Center, Belle Mina; 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Breakfast will be provided.
