ALABAMA JUNIOR BEEF EXPO TO BROADCAST STATE SHOW ONLINE
Alabama livestock exhibitors in the Junior Beef Expo Showmanship contest will compete for big prizes this weekend at the Ed Teague Arena in Montgomery. The Alabama Farmers Federation is the primary sponsor of the event, which can be streamed online courtesy of Alltech and RFD-TV.

The Federation is offering more than 175 exhibitors ages nine to 18 the chance to compete for more than $5,000 in prizes. All exhibitors will receive a red fleece vest. Junior and senior division winners will also receive a Farming Feeds Alabama tailgate-style tent, while class winners within each division will receive a Federation-branded canvas zip notebook. Federation President Jimmy Parnell will present cash awards to the winners.
Other showmanship contest sponsors are Tennessee River Music, Inc., which will award the supreme champion showman with $500 cash; and the Alabama Cattlewomen’s Association, which will award a $500 scholarship to the top female showman.

Friday, March 8 — State Steer Show, 8 a.m.
Saturday, March 9 — Rookie, Junior and Senior Showmanship, 8 a.m.
Sunday, March 10 — State Heifer and Breed Steer Show, 10:30 a.m.
