"Down On The Farm" Activity Book   Email to Friend

Being a farmer is one of the most important jobs in Alabama because farmers raise food to feed the world. With the "Down on the Farm" Activity Book, kids will engage in fun activities to learn about crops grown and animals raised on Alabama farms.

With the Farm Mix-Up and the Farm-to-Table maze, students learn how food and other products move from the farm to their homes. In Alabama's Top 10 Word Search, kids find out the top animals and crops on farms in the state. With all that knowledge, the final page of the activity book encourages students to make a healthy snack and to thank a farmer for the nutritious food they provide.

The Alabama Farm

Hi, I'm Baxter Bluebird. Do you realize the food we eat, the clothes we wear and even the wood for our homes comes from Alabama farms? In fact, agriculture is Alabama's largest industry. Join me as we explore an Alabama farm. We'll have fun as you discover all the wonderful things farmers grow that we use every day.
